Reo Bars
All Sunset Sleepers concrete sleepers have 2 x N12 Reo bars accurately placed using patented and engineered Reo support chairs.
These ensure the reinforcement is placed correctly in every Sleeper that leaves the manufacturing facility.
We can accomodate up to 3 x N12 Reo bars if required.

Please note that all of our concrete sleepers have a small taper (5-10mm) at the ends from face to back of sleeper to aid in the demoulding of the sleeper during the production process.
Concrete Sleepers Weight & Capacity
- The above retained heights are based on the following assumed soil properties: density:18 kN/m^3 - Ka:0.35 - internal friction angle:30°
- Measurements shown in millimetres (mm). Length is measured at the back of the sleeper. Note that all sleeper have a taper so the front will be 20mm shorter
- All Sleepers are made with 40mpa Concrete and 2 x N12 reinforcement bars as standard, alternative our engineering accomodates other reinforcemnt options
